Temporary Rental & Utility Assistance (TRUA) offers rent and utility assistance to households earning up to 80% of the area median income, see chart below. Funding is provided through Denver’s Affordable Housing Fund and is part of a collaborative effort by the Office of Economic Development to address critical and immediate needs of people facing utility shutoff, eviction, or displacement.

If you previously received assistance from the TRUA Program, please call 303-477-4774 ext. 10.
Once you have gathered all of the documents, and completed your application, please scan and email them back to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, fax them to 303-433-0924, or drop off your completed packet on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. Please note that the counselor reviewing your application may require additional documentation. In this event, you will be given 5 business days to submit the requested items, otherwise, your application will be closed due to incompleteness.
